[history]
Eleven House Democrats yesterday voted against a resolution supporting U.S. troops and President Bush's leadership as their commander in chief, saying they couldn't approve a war or a president they disagree with.
"I, for one, will not be forced to praise the president's reckless decision when what I want to do is praise the troops," said Rep. Jim McDermott, Washington Democrat, who voted "no."

At least they had the guts to say NO which is more than I can say for the rest of their linguini-spined party.

How far up the race huckster's collective wazoos must the battlefield interviews going? Y'know: the ones with the articulate, gentlemanly, soldiers and officers--general-to-grunt....no difference--who also are black?
These guys bear absolutely NO resemblance to the stereotypes profferred by Jackson-Lee, Jesse, Al, and the rest!!!!!
I'm so glad the press is embedded. Real Americans...American HEROS, of ALL COLORS...on the telly for the yoots to see.
An aside: Crime in this big ol' city (100,000) seems to be way down: all the bad guys are watching these guys on TV too. The jail is relatively empty!
Nuthin' but net!

Mr. McDermott was one of three Democratic lawmakers who traveled to Baghdad to meet with Iraqi leaders last fall He probably made an "oil" deal with Saddam while he was there. Is he French???

An impossible assignment. Find a single resolution introduced or passed by these traitors condemning Clinton for bombing every two-bit country. Or even better, try to find one where they condemned Clinton for bombing Yugoslavia, a country that poised absolutely no risk to the US, did absolutely nothing to us, nor is/was involved in any form of terrorism.
The hypocrisy of the left is astounding.

I concur with your assessment of socialism worldwide.
Obviously that movement has progressed for such a long time, now I only hesitate to observe how far the movement has dynamically migrated, blending and morphing to the transient powers that be and where the actual center of gravity may be identified today.
I suspect the real threat is much more merged into our society than we acknowledge, but discerning the intentional threat from simple freedom of disagreement might be difficult with such a chameleon like foe.
I would take Nancy Pelosi's recent action as an example. Push as far as they can, promote as much internal and worldwide opposition to justice as possible, then slide back and pretend to defend/support US interests and the military as though they remain patriotic.
Take that example and apply it across the spectrum of past liberal/socialist involvement and the massive invasion becomes more obvious. It applies Sun Tzu's Art of War implicitly and dynamically morphs to whatever current tactic wins, but strategically they oppose the Constitution of the US and all things holy.
The socialists haven't clued in that they have already achieved their initial goals of creating a socialist America. The truly sick thing about socialism is that there never is any satiation of their powerlust. It always results in dictatorship without justice.
Where are the socialists in opposition to the unjust societies in Vietnam, Cuba, and Iraq? When they are clamorously silent about injustice in those societies, they tip their true ulterior motivations.

RATS Kucinich and Tubbs-Jones, both from Cleveland! And don't forget Sherrod Brown, also from the suburbs. What the heck is in the water in N. Ohio, we have Jones, Kuchinich, Brown, Kaptur. It's embarrasing.

All, with the exception of the Republican, are member of the Congressional Progressive (Marxist) Caucus. Farr and Kucinich, two ultra-progressives, didn't even have the guts to vote their convictions but tried to hide with a "present" vote.
