Side By Side of Saddam From Film with Saddam From Rather Interview (the one in the film ain't him)

I know an enormous amount has been said about whether Saddam is dead or not. What clinched it for me was the side by side photos below

The first image is of course the one that everyone has seen from the still of Saddams "live" appearance just after Dubyah dropped the bomb Wednesday night. The second image is a shot from Saddam from his interview with Dan Blather. If you'll focus on the nose in particular ANYONE can see that it is not the same man.

I have thought that Saddam was dead since Wednesday night when I lined up these two pictures together. One of the men is Saddam and one is not. The experts are saying that it was Saddam in the tape. Honestly, do you think that Saddam would send a double to meet Dan Blather. No doubt that the picture on the right HAS TO BE Saddam. But there is NO WAY that the man on the film is the same one as the one who met Dan Rather.

I think our government has known all along that Saddam is dead and is wisely waiting til we have the rest of our business wrapped up til they completely reveal it (for the weasily French and other of their ilk). In the mean time they have been purposely ambiguous (fog of war type stuff).

I'm with what someone else said on another thread. The man on the tape was a dupe who read from the script that Saddam provided the sound for via previously taped message. If Saddam was in that bunker AIN'T NO WAY HE CAME OUT ALIVE. He ain't nothing but hair and calcium deposits. Put all this together with the rest of the circumstantial evidence and you have one dead EX dictator.

Well... you also have that former mistress who took a lie detector test and swore that it wasn't Saddam in that taped speech, either. (But she's slightly biased... hates him...)

I heard a commentary about Saddam and his 'look-a-likes' a couple of days ago and an expert was saying that the only/best way to tell who the 'real' Saddam is , is by the location of the earlobe....it's the one thing that can't be altered due to plastic surgery, he said.....

At any rate, the first thing I thought when I saw that video was that the person they were showing wasn't SH, it just doesn't look like him to me, although I can't exactly pinpoint it.

Don't you think the experts already know that Saddam via film is not Saddam via Dan Rather? Being that they SURELY DO, then they must be being PURPOSEFULLY ambiguous. I just feel they've GOT TO KNOW that he's dead. I know it's wishful thinking on my part, but why else would they keep that neat little fact to themselves?

It's not a game, the man in the video Wednesday night was Hussein. The nose comparisons in the two pics here ignore the presence of the large eyeglasses and straight on angle in the pic where the nose "looks smaller." These are the things that optical illusions are made of.

Yes, and in the immortal words of Mark Steyn, ultimately, it REALLY doesn't matter. BehavioUr (notice the truly British education...such WORDSMITHS!!!) is more important...they are "acting" as though they are headless!

You could certainly be right (I'm no expert). That certainly is a "honker" of an illusion though if it is (pun intended).
