I read that Ritter's been touring America - lying to assembled folks at seniors homes and Elks Clubs. Many people, it seems, are busy CYA-ing.

I appreciate your pointing the flaw of my target-based distinction. I imagine then the proper distinction is target plus intent. (military purpose vs terror purpose).

Although the whole distinction gets fuzzy.

However, I do think in this instance, where we have troops invading a country, an attack by whomever opposed to that advance upon the leadership of a component of that advance should be considered an act of war, rather than an act of terror

They have suppliers in and out all the time; perhaps someone walking in to deliver supplies? Speculation on CNN it was Iraqi special ops guys. Could be anyone. Sounded like carnage inside those tents.

Fox - Stuart Ramsey from Sky reporting that it happened 1.5 hrs ago. Heard big thud. Two Kuwaiti or Iraqi nationals attacked command tent. 1.5 mile inside the perimeter. Medivac helicopters arrived in the last 10 minutes. Seems (not confirmed) the attackers were on the translator staff in the command tent. All foreign nationals have been ejected from the base. Attackers were wearing desert cammo and helmets. Massive search taking place now looking for the two men.

Someone needs to let NBC's Matt Lauer know there is an opening for a human shield. (He was worried about human shields at power plants.)
