Oh, there's an article about that. Kent State was not a peaceful protest, nor a peaceful campus at that time.

IMO, the National Guardsmen were provoked, and didn't kill enough of those scumbags.

There ya go. After burning down an ROTC building, turning the firehoses on the firefighters(and generally being destructive) they threw chunks of concrete and rocks at the National Guardsmen.
