We have to work and play and worry about our 401k. Not much energy or time left for anything else.
There are numerous conservative organizations, initiatives, and ideas. The means of transmitting those ideas to the general public is limited. As a result, prioritizing and implementing those initiatives are most difficult. The few ideas that eventually make it through the propaganda gauntlet, are highly compromised by the time they become policy.
Given the decline in public morality and knowledge of self-government, Bush is the best you could have hoped for.

We have to go on the offensive.......a strategy foreign to the Republican Party. I'm writing my letter to Dr. Frist in the morning.
It's the nature of that offensive I thinke we need to discover. It didn't take long to get Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks to apologize. That was a good campaign but what exactly did we do? How can we translate that and scale it up to the level of "Shock and Awe?"
I don't think letter writing is the issue, unless you can help tally the letters or deliver bags of them by hand at a press conference. (Remember "Miracle on 34th Street?") They can always send a form letter back and ignore the issue in public. You're right the media is against us so we must be able to win even in that environment.
I wish I had ideas, but that is why I posted here. I'm looking for them from a large number of brilliant people.

It is much easier to inculcate youth with the fundamental truths of self-government than to change the thinking/habits of adults. As long as public education continues to be a monopoly that is dominated by the N.E.A. which propagates cultural Marxism, the hope for any future reform of the habits of the populace and their government will be remote.
The effort to change the thinking/habits of adults must persist, even in the face of insurmountable odds, to decelerate the approach of this culture to the point of no return. F.R., Limbaugh, WorldNetDaily have contributed to this goal.

Op/Ed - Taking America backToo many Republicans don't honor the Constitution any more than their Democrat counterparts. They don't understand the federal government is strictly limited by the Constitution in its powers. They don't understand that most lawmaking authority was reserved by our wise founders for the states. They don't understand that the great American experiment in politics was its commitment to self-government meaning a commitment to individual liberty and responsibility.
The country is not ready for that second American revolution. Not yet. It needs one. But the people don't know it.
America is in desperate need of a spiritual awakening the kind of revival that preceded the War of Independence in the 18th century. Spiritual awakening leads to moral renewal, and moral renewal leads to self-government, limited government, freedom.
You can't have the latter without the former.
Suppose FReepers could identify one candidate from each state and deliver to that candidate 100 volunteers to get his/her message out door to door before a campaign.
Suppose FReepers could idenfity one issue and provide a registered booth at one mall in each of 300 cities to present conservative information on the issue for 100 days.
Suppose FReepers could establish minority outreach GOP headquarters in each of 300 cities. These headquarters would not be for distributing "we like you until we get your votes" sound bites but for actually establishing a relationship with the people in the neighborhood and create a true conservative dialog. Note: dialog involves listening.
Suppose FReepers could shut down the news department phone lines of 300 television market leaders in 300 cities for 2 days demaing they cover the Dimocrat usurpation of power in court nominations. Call with one clear, consistent message like "when will you tell the public that the Dimocrats are denying these nominees a simple vote on their appointment.?"
Suppose FReepers shut down the office of 300 representatives/senators until the official agreed to a debate on one specific topic with a reasonably trained FReeper at the venue of the candidate's choosing.
Would those be big enough to instill terror in the left? Would those be "Shock and Awe?" Would those be possible?

#4 and #5 would be "Shock and Awe" to me! The homosexual advocates haven't even pulled this off.
