I am aware this has become a rant, but I do not believe I am alone in feeling impotent when a majority party is made to cower by a bunch of whiny, power-hungry socialists.

No apology necessary. Perhaps it is the rant of a Somali soldier who was not given sufficent cover to exfiltrate in the event a plan goes awry?

We have to go on the offensive.......a strategy foreign to the Republican Party. I'm writing my letter to Dr. Frist in the morning.

It's the nature of that offensive I thinke we need to discover. It didn't take long to get Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks to apologize. That was a good campaign but what exactly did we do? How can we translate that and scale it up to the level of "Shock and Awe?"

I don't think letter writing is the issue, unless you can help tally the letters or deliver bags of them by hand at a press conference. (Remember "Miracle on 34th Street?") They can always send a form letter back and ignore the issue in public. You're right the media is against us so we must be able to win even in that environment.

I wish I had ideas, but that is why I posted here. I'm looking for them from a large number of brilliant people.

I certainly appreciate your insight.

Shalom

When I made the comment about the bags of letters, I was imagining that scene from, "The Miracle on 34th Street".

ArGee, I think that the impetus for a united effort on the part of conservatives may have to come from conservative radio. As I recall, conservative talk-show hosts were the ones who kept the Dixie Chicks debacle in the news and literally forced an apology. Rush has 20,000,000 listeners, Sean Hannity isn't far behind. A simple plan of attack broadcast by national and local conservative talk-show hosts could energize the silent majority to action.

Just a thought, but there doesn't appear to be any other media outlet that could do the job.
