No other group possesses both the faith and the numbers sufficient to hold back the ever-encroaching, sometimes sinister, power of the state."
We have to work and play and worry about our 401k. Not much energy or time left for anything else.
There are numerous conservative organizations, initiatives, and ideas. The means of transmitting those ideas to the general public is limited. As a result, prioritizing and implementing those initiatives are most difficult. The few ideas that eventually make it through the propaganda gauntlet, are highly compromised by the time they become policy.
Given the decline in public morality and knowledge of self-government, Bush is the best you could have hoped for.
