Protestors block ambulance

In Washington DC today at around 1:30 PM EST a group of protestors tried to block the intersection of 14th and K street NW one of the busiest in the city. At the front of the group of cars that were obstructed was an ambulance with sirens on full volume. Fortunately, a group of police on bikes that double the number of protestors quickly emerged and pushed the protestors aside.
So this is what the protestors have resorted to blocking ambulances at city intersections.

This is unbelievable! This cannot stand. I've been in DC for over 3 years now and I've had it up to the gills with this travelling Communist side-show. The theatrics, the injunctions to violence, and irrationality are flat out ridiculous. (and this has been going on since the Inaugural ...hell, it's been going on since Seattle)
This crosses that line. It is not free speech, it is mayhem. It is unconscionable. It causes injury and death to others. It is not shocking though - it's the fulfillment of their Communist religion.
I hope this gets coverage.

If I were Mayor, I would issue a decree giving full amnesty to any citizen who took whatever action they deemed necessary to get through the blockades being formed by these idiots. No, you can't do that! They have to be punished if they were to assault a protestor.
I got it: Fine them. No jail time. Fine them: $1 for every occassion. 8^)
Note to protestor: I have a good job and a great savings account. My apologies in advance...judge, let me know where to send the check...ah, forget, I'll even bring cash.

This behavior is why we call them un-patriotic and anti-American. They are distracting police and security resources that would be better used guarding against terrorism. They are trying to hurt their fellow Americans because they didn't get their way. They are spoiled children who don't deserve the freedom that Americans enjoy and are doing their best to destroy that freedom.

Comparing stopping an ambulance with sirens to a politician on a political campaign is like comparing sh1t to shinola (gold). Is that what you meant to do? If not, say again in other words what you did mean.

DC protestors blocking ambulances
I saw the police on bikes at Dupont Circle this morning - - I think they were using it as a staging area for another day of chasing these juvenile deliquents.

Welcome to Free Republic!
If you're local to DC, please note that on Sunday we'll be having a support our troops rally for america on the eastern steps of the Lincoln Memorial, 1 p.m. Looks like it will be lovely weather for a pro-America rally.

Hi,
Yes, I have never really seen the need to post anything until now. I'm normally a quiet skimmer here from time to time.
I did go to the Freeper rally about 3 weeks ago on the Washington monument, though, and found it quiet enjoyable to experience.

I believe that interfering with an emergency vehicle is a felony here. It should be anywhere.
What is with these clods refusing to arrest the protesters? All these cities and states whining about budgets in red ink with all those potential fines & court costs floating around out there...

Reckless endangerment?
If the person in the ambulance died, manslaughter?

The ambulance should have run them over. While calling in for a few more ambulances, of course...
Or hearses!
To: zingzang
Beautiful! I'm all for freedom of speech, but they are putting people's health in jeopardy when they block the path of an ambulance. Putting your body in front of an ambulance or bull dozer is not speach.

I was just practicing making handcuffs out of ty-wraps. There are plenty of parking meters on K.

They should have just run over the protesters. There's not a jury in America that would convict the driver.
Oh, wait...you said this was in Washington D.C....Never mind.
