The British forces took the control of the stations of pumping of FAO

Saddam can't commit an act of ecoterrorism on the Persian Gulf now. You would think the world's enviro wackos would be happy. :)

What was going on? Was there a serious battle there? I would think that the Basra area and other parts of the South would have been heavily contested, but really haven't seen any good coverage on it.

They secured the Al Faw Peninsula. Shot of a helicopter bringing in a jeep.... So things are well in hand at least for the Brits.
