I hear you, I enjoy my g-kids so much more than I did raising my own, I have more patience now & have even had the 6 yr old since he was 3 weeks old. Watched him 12 hours a day, five days a week. They live 3 minutes from our house, so they are here all the time! But I LOVE it.

I heard them talking about the flooding earlier, I'm sure our military leaders are planning for this, but Saddam wouldn't care how many of his people it killed.
And ours either. What I am saying is some Iraqi soldiers were shown on camera perhaps booby trapping the dam in Mosul.

we still have the suicide bombers and the Al Queda and likewise types that were bussed into Iraq. I forgot all about them, we could have large numbers of casualties if that is true. More to worry about!

To: TexKat
Well, at least it was shown on camera, maybe having these news people imbedded with the military will be quite an asset!

I've thought that was a really good idea when I first heard it, they'll be there when we find WMD to prove it to the rest of the world.
To: blondee123
yep, had a few of those too.
To: momofsixgirls
I really like the news media imbedded with the troops. They aren't telling what they shouldn't cause it's their own safety too, but it is history in the making to have immediate news from them. It gives us a sense of what the soldiers are going thru, the extremely long drive thru the desert etc. It is much more real to see it instead of just hearing about it.

Just a reminder ....
the idea of this thread is to be a place for linking to other articles both within FReeRepublic and external so that we can have, in one place, an overall picture!
I think we should continue to post reports for specific discussion normally and then link to them here. In that way, topics of interest can be followed and we can return to the "Situation Room".
I would greatly appreciate it if more links could be inserted in this thread so that we "cubicle bound" & feedless FReepers can follow along.
FReeRegards

This looks like the place to get the latest updates.
Mostly follwing it on Fox, but check out cspan for BBC feed, which has some live reports from British forces.

Since most of us here are staying on this thread, guess someone who is surfing will be ones to link to other FR threads. I have SKY news on my computer & am not hearing any updates. I'm sure if any of us hear of any, it will be posted here.

If this thing plays out well, how many RATs will remain in the race for POTUS?Just Hillary!

Is it me, or do don't you love watching our troops move up from Kuwait and driving by 12 year old junk from Gulf War I? Almost makes it seem like Gulf War I was just yesterday, and that the period from '92 through 2000 was a bad dream. After a twelve-year cease-fire, we are finally taking care of unfinished business. God certainly works in mysterious ways. After being knocked off course and detoured for the entire Clinton administration, we're back on track. And what the father didn't finish, the son now finishes after a long interruption.
