The official name is Operation Iraqi Liberation.

To steal someones line, I vote for this war to be named
Operation there ain't no 72 virgins
To: Joy Angela
It is Operation Iraqi Freedom. I don't know why they are calling it Target Iraq. Heard that on CNN during a channel surf awhile ago. Ridiculous.

The official name of the campaign is "Operation Iraqi Freedom"

I just barely got past 1100 posts on the other thread; but I have been following most all day on CNN. Will I miss anything important if I dont read the rest of yesterday's thread?
Did we really get SH. Mild injury, serious injury, no injury?

That poor old chopper has been a great workhorse. No reason to get angry at the 'Toon for this, any more than getting angry for still using B52s. The real problem with this thing is that I don't believe there are real good options if you have mechanical failures with this chopper... with most you can quite often "autorotate" (something like using the rotor as a parachute) and make a very hard, but survivable, landing. I do not believe that is very likely with this double prop job.
Recall, we had two other choppers down from mechanical problems today, and safe crews from them. nevertheless.
Any chopper pilots available on FR now?... This pilot could use your true expertise on this!

"And also estimates are that 20% of the Rep. Guard is surrendering or agreed to surrender." Great isn't it? I just hope that we are soon able to prove that the president was right about everything and then some and that the coming weeks will see Iraqis dancing in the street! These protesters need to to be effectively shut up and what better way than to be PROVEN dead wrong! They will still hate the president, but this time it will be because he made fools of them, but at least then maybe they will go away.
Speaking of idiots on parade, any word from the human shields since the strikes started?

And how about Rep Stephen Buyer being called up by his unit tonight ?? WOWSERS
To: prairiebreeze
The 11th Iraqi army has surrendered entirely. I think that division is between 10,000-20,000 men. I'm gonna wait to see some video before I accept this report at face value.

I'm outta here for some sleep.
Wish we had some kind of alarm on this thread to rouse us if something big happens. See y'all later.

never looked at that before, but I bet adm and military did.

Shiela Jackson Lee (BARF) - Again using the pilots' deaths tonight as excuse not to war. Every life is valuable and is a great loss, but this is a war
We lost almost a half million in WWII .. does she think we shouldn't have gone to war then?
Give our troops the damn money they need and stop playing (*&&&*# games
