Best War Blogs
Arik Hesseldahl, 03.20.03, 4:15 PM ETNEW YORK - The war in Iraq is under way, and after months of debate, bloggers are now going to war. Not all of them like it, although many are cheering.
In choosing the best of the best, we excluded "meta-blogs" like Warblogs.cc and Warblogging, which are essentially compilations of other blogs, many of them opposed to the war.
We were careful that the five we've selected represent a diversity of opinions. One is even blogging from Baghdad--or will be for as long as the telecommunications system remains functioning.
Be warned: Many of these sites are slowing down dramatically, even crashing, under the sudden weight of thousands of new readers. Be patient. These blogs are worth the wait.
Click here to go to the Forbes.com site where you can view a short write up about each of the 5 war bloggers.Or you can click on these links and get a taste for each of these war blogs directly:
Daily KosIf you're like me, you'll want to bookmark all of them, but after you take a look at each blog, you can vote at the Forbes.com site.

VodkaPunditOne of these blogs, Daily Kos, is by a real leftie whose blog is primarily political, but now he's blogging about the war. Unfortunately, he's leading in their poll. From what I've read of his opinions, he needs to be freeped - big time!
Whether or not you vote in the polls, I hope you find these war blogs helpful in the coming days and weeks.
