Police Chief Called To Active Duty

Moose Is Currently At Andrews AFB

ROCKVILLE, Md. -- The Montgomery County Police Department has reported that its chief of police was called to active duty for military service as of 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Chief Charles Moose is reportedly at Andrews Air Force Base awaiting further instructions.

According to an official statement from the county, Moose has the rank of major with the D.C. Air National Guard serving as a military police officer.

Moose has not been deployed so he is still the chief of police for Montgomery County

If Moose is deployed, then he will decide who the acting chief will be.
