Wow, this is huge. Despite its losses in prime time CNN has always claimed the crown for international crisis - until now.

I don't have cable because I'm not a TV watcher. For the war, I am pleased that FOX NEWS is giving the feed to the regular FOX channel in L.A.

Does this poll take into account the total viewing of the several CNN channels, or only CNN proper?
I have bounced around, even to the MTV coverage. But FOX is my mainstay.
Just wondering

Wow, I guess I won the shootout at the OK corral by the skin of me teeth. That thread is #870508, this one is #870507. Thread #'s are sequential, correct?
To: Diddle E. Squat
The duplicate thread got pulled, anyway isn't this a first? Usually CNN comes in first when a big story hits. They are in big trouble. Heh heh.

good for Fox, but NBC clearly had the best coverage. First on most development and excellent analysis including Schwartzkopf.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! GO FOX GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I agree, NBC/MSNBC seem to be the best overall. Fox is getting better, except during the airraids. That's when all their onscreen crap blocks the action on the ground.
To: Diddle E. Squat
This is very significant. FoxNews established themselves with their excellent prime time news shows (O'Reilly Factor, Hannity & Colmes) yet people would still turn to CNN for breaking news. Now FoxNews is holding viewers even when news is breaking. This is sure to send CNN into a tizzy. Especially since it was the first Gulf War that really put them on the map.
To be honest though, I think MSNBC has the best war coverage so far. However I think FoxNews has scored a real coup with Ollie North as a field correspondent.

FOX also has some great SKY News cut-ins from Great Britain. You notice last night that ABC was carrying the CNN feed with Aaron Brown until Petah showed up late?

That was probably your ABC affiliate - the network hosed their affiliated big-time. They apparently informed stations they were going to have coverage but at 11PM eastern time, they just dumped - leaving affiliates in a scramble to fill. Some did with CNN; others put up weather radars, and syndicated programs until the Canadian-putz Anchor had his butt in the chair.

OLIVER NORTH FOR SENATE You have to admit, his career comeback has been amazing. At one time, Fawn Hall looked like the one who would emerge the most famous ;)
Kudos to Fox for having Geraldo with the 82nd, that was some good stuff last night.

You know this is huge. I was really afraid that people would turn to CNN when the war started, and hurt Fox's ratings. Great to see everyone watching FNC.

I think MSNBC and CNN have had better coverage than FOX on this one. Sorry to say. FOX always has the story last and sometimes inaccuate at that.
