Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant Targeted???
Posted on 03/20/2003 7:28:29 AM PST by flutters
Glenn Beck mentioned that the National Guard is at Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant due to a terrorist threat. Has anyone got any information about this? I've searched the web and can't find anything more.

I heard about this some time in summer on a late night radio show somewhere.
This isn't new news and I am glad it is being taken seriously.
Thank you so much for the article madfly.

Thanks for the articles, madfly.
I'm still scratching my head over this statement:
McDonald said the biggest threat to the plant is not some catastrophic event but having it shut down due to threat, thus hurting regional power supplies and the economy.

That's what we are also wondering. This morning, my kids were outdoors and saw several helicopters/aircraft in the direction toward DV airport. Don't know if this was due to an accident (auto) or something going on near the airport.
