Has anybody else heard anything about air traffic changes in Philadelphia?

Haverford Woman Is Directly Under Approach To Runway 17 For a minute there I thought we had another nutcase trying to be a "human shield" at her local airport.
To: Tribune7
awwwwww she cant listen to the sounds of nature... so we ALL should bow to the her wishes...
This is a slippery slope- imagine NO development anywhere because it would disturb 'the sounds of nature'

was upset to find out that she "lives 7.5 miles north and directly under Runway 17." I would be upset to learn I lived under a runway, too.

Airplanes fly over her house. That's just something they have to do to land. Strange, how that works.

Many pilots flying final for one seven at night have complained about the glare caused by all the lights from this lady's house. Reports of her standing near the window nude also scares the passengers. Get some blinds wimpy.

Maybe a plane will crash into her house.

Well, that's the new commuter ruanway. Tough luck woman.
Planes fly over my house in Fox Chase, and they flew over my old house in West Mt. Airy too.

I'd be interested in finding out (not that it makes any difference) who was there first--she or the airport. If the airport was there when she moved in, she should STFU.

Then she should be really happy that she doesn't live in Baghdad tonight.

Runways 17/35 are the shortest @ PHL. About 5,400 ft - they are used by commuters flights - ie; DASH8's, SAAB 340's. I think use the same approach as always. Big deal.

I'm in Haverford, and we are not close to the airport. I'm not noticing an increase in large planes - I recall seeing the smaller commuter type planes when I'm at the ballfield. No biggie. Doesn't it depend on the winds, regarding which flight path they take?

In Hartford, Haverford and Hampshire,
Hurricanes Hardly Happen.

The only air traffic changes I've seen are the increased traffic near the air base. If all the airlines go bust, this lady's noise problem will abate.

Our former mayor of Toledo, OH made a suggestion years ago that the real estate around airports should be made available to the deaf people.
I think he was serious, but the laughter that followed made him give a televised tearful appology to the city.
