Here in Birmingham if a concert is sold out they will buy back tickets if for some reason one can't make the show. The policy is you have to make the ticket return two days or more prior to the concert so they can reissue them and sell them to someone else. Also you only get the price on the ticket back, not the service charge. This only applies to shows that are sold out. The belief is that they can turn around and sell the ticket again an get another service charge. I think the service charge here is $2 dollars per ticket. I also think the show here in May is sold out. What if everyone returned their tickets, and they couldn't resale them? That would be great. Ticket Master wouldn't lose any money, but the Dixie Sicks would.
