'To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the Presdient, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.'
President Theodore Roosevelt

Hold on, just the minute! The Dizzy chick didn't just disagree with the President! She shared her contempt for the President with a Euroweenie audience! And second, there is no apology possible for the statement she made, like, say, the apologies made by Trent Lott for his stupid statement whose implications he didn't understand or foresee. What can she say? That she was misunderstood? It would be more honest to stand by the original statement the way widdle Tommy Daschle stood by his yesterday! Goodbye [G]earl!

"Should a liberal that makes auto parts not be allowed to work because you don't agree with them?"Oh, by all means he .. and they .. should be allowed to continue to do what they want to do. However, it's the next step in the chain that you seemingly object to. If I don't like or want to listen to that liberal making disparaging remarks about something that I feel serious about and that I know that friends of mine are serious about as well, I will buy my auto parts somewhere else and will let my friends know about the situation so that they can make that decision as well.
Your hypothetical liberal and these young ladies, in different ways, have to deal with their customers. If they make their customers angry or upset .. for any reason .. those customers can take their business elsewhere. I am not depriving anyone of their livelihood; I am depriving them of my monetary (and verbal, as appropriate) support for that behavior that I don't like or approve of.
If they piss off enough people, they go out of business. If I sold snow-cones and pissed in the ice before I gave it to my customers, I should be able to expect that they will tell their friends about it and take their business elsewhere, and I will go out of business. That is not stopping my income; that's supply-and-demand.
Obviously, if you cannot understand the difference (or profess not to be able to see the difference) then you are either trolling for argument's sake or have a very serious problem with the idea of market capitalism. The Vichy Chicks angered their customer base and must now face the market consequences of that action.

REHAB THE CHICKS:
All the Chicks have to do is:
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
1) Make a Sincere Apology to President Bush and to the American People.
2) Cancel or Delay the rest of their 2003 World Concert Tour, as they will get severe Booing and Heckling by any former fans who attend the concerts just because they cannot give away the overpriced tickets.
3) GIVE a FREE TOUR of all our Military Outposts, putting on a:
................. "God Bless America and President Bush" Tour .....
....for our Service Men and Women all over the world. Perhaps after they have done 10 months of this they can request an invite to give a Free Concert for President Bush at the Ranch in Crawford TEXAS, as I believe President Bush would be the first to offer his forgiveness, and the good people of Texas would follow his lead.
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
This will TOTALLY recover their former status as #1 entertainers and they will rise to even higher heights, probably becoming regulars at the Super Bowl, etc. They will gain MUCH GREATER WEALTH AND FAME by executing this simple plan.
Peace, Love, and Joy! ([: ^ )

Because they are popular, and everything they say is anti-American. If my neighbor thought this way, I would hate him too.

She looked way too happy singing with James Taylor on that tv special last fall. She said that he had always been her idol, blah, blah, blah, etc., etc., etc. And all they seem to be doing in their last numbers is re-cycling that hippie/folksy sound from the 60's. No doubt about it--she's just a plain ol' partisan Democrat whose going to find out who really was buying their cd's.
Bye, Bye Ditzy Chicks--Bye, Bye!

I guess she doesn't give a rat's ass about the Kurdish CHILDREN butchered by Saddam Insane. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!! She wants OUR children to fight the tyrrant but not hers. Her children are sacred; ours are expendable. This woman is making me madder and madder!! The Dixie Chicks can KISS MY ASS!! By the way, we are going to crush their CD's at this Friday's infinite freep in Fresno CA. Jim Robinson HIMSELF has been there with a small group of freepers and patriots EVERY FRIDAY since 9/11. This Friday 3/21 at 6 p.m. at Shaw & Blackstone we will crush Dixie Chicks CD's TO MAKE A POINT!!! For victory & freedom!!!

Well this sums it up! She is not sorry and she just finished off her career for sure! Thank you Natile for being so stupid!
To: Petronski
Hah! There they are now. What a hoot!

So it doesn't matter if the product is good or not, if they piss you off, try to convince as many people as possible to take their income away? Yes, I do object to that, but evryone has a right to do as they want....esxcept the entertainers. I like their music, but what they say or do outside of their album, I could not care less. I understand not buying their albums yourself, but to convince others to not buy, I don't think, is right. Oddly enough, before this all happened, freerepublic was one of the places where you could find many people that really liked their music....their product, unlike your snow cones, hasn't changed at all.
