'To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the Presdient, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.'

Let's dig up some quotes about how we are supposed to speak of the President DURING WARTIME.

This ditz is determined to kill her career!
She is getting terrible advise from Sony and her managers (or she just isn't taking it)

Unless you strap it on the back of a cat - then the combination just hovers and spins about three inches off the ground.

She can say whatever she wants, including what she said in London. However, free speech isn't "free." You must not only defend your right, but must be prepared to face the consequences of your speech. Just because she can say what she pleases doesn't mean we can't call her on it.

Whadda ditz. Nobody has asserted she was not talking within her rights. She's free and encouraged to speak her mind. Although, as she is learning, sometimes free expression is bad for business.

She has the right to say whatever she wants and we have the right not to buy her records and attend her concerts, and to make our disapproval known to the radio stations that play her music.
If she doesn't like it, then perhaps she should live in some country where people don't have the right to express their outrage at the idiocy of the wealthy elite.

Kinda gets a tune humming in the back of my head - something by Joan Baez that talks about "The night they tore those Dixie Chicks down" or something of the sorts
