Now the Wackos want a Department of Peace

Ohio Democrat Rep. Dennis Kucinich has teamed up with something called The Global Renaissance Alliance (GRA) to promote the establishment of a cabinet-level Department of Peace which would have little to do with world peace and everything to do with shoving socialist programs down the throats of the American people.

Among the goals for the proposed department the GRA sets forth, would be the development of " … new programs that relate to the societal challenges of school violence, guns, racial or ethnic violence, violence against gays and lesbians, and police-community relations disputes.”

Kucinich, one of the most unlikely potential presidential candidates ever, plans to introduce a bill establishing a Department of Peace on April 8th, but from what the bill proposes, April 1st ( April Fool’s Day) would be more appropriate.

According to the GRA, which is planning conferences, demonstrations and lobbying efforts in Washington April 6 to 8, "… the Department would be responsible for developing policies which address issues such as domestic violence, child abuse, mistreatment of the elderly, and other issues of cultural violence.”

Oh yes, the Department of Peace would also tell the president "how to address the root causes of war and intervene before violence begins, while improving national security, including the protection of human rights and the prevention and de-escalation of unarmed and armed international conflict.”

After which war would be banished and peace and the spirit of Karl Marx would reign supreme.

We already have a Department of Peace,
it's just that we call it the Department of Defence.

Would it upset people if the DOD went back to it's original name? It was the Department of War.

We already have a Department of Peace. That's what the State Department is supposed to be about.

And the Department of Defense is the Department of War.

Both are necessary. Both are important. Both have been in the Constitution from the get-go.

I love that guy!! I've emailed it to a lot of friends..it's become a running joke.

If I'm not mistaken, that's the Anicin Man from circa 1958. Looks like he stepped right out of Perry Mason.
