Dixie Chicks CD’s to be CRUSHED at Pro-America Rally

Patriotic Americans from FreeRepublic.com web site have been demonstrating at Shaw and Blackstone in Fresno every Friday since the September 11 attack on America to show their support for the President and our Troops.

Recently, while on tour in Britain, the Dixie Chicks criticized President Bush, and though they have issued a pathetic attempt at an apology, patriotic Americans are still furious.

Therefore, this Friday, March 21, at 6 p.m., Shaw & Blackstone, in addition to their normal rally cries, the group will show its disdain for the Dixie Chicks by crushing their CD’s.

“We are outraged by the anti American statements made by the Dixie Chicks on foreign soil during a time of imminent war,” says Saundra Duffy, head of Fresno/Central Valley Chapter of FreeRepublic.com. “We are sick of ‘stars’ spouting anti American rhetoric thereby demoralizing our military personnel and offering aid and comfort to our enemies.”

FreeRepublic.com is an interactive conservative web site whose owner and founder is Fresno resident and Vietnam Veteran, Jim Robinson. Robinson will be in attendance, as always, at Friday’s pro America rally.

As far as I know, we'll be there. We don't have any Dixie Chicks CDs though......and I sure as heck am not going to buy any. I am through patronizing entertainers who undermine my country with their asinine statements. That includes the Baldwins, Streisand, Clooney, the Sheens......all of them! They are not getting another dime out of me.

Maybe I could buy a used CD of theirs.

Even better. don't even buy one of their CD's. Just scan the CD art and print a Neato label. Place that label on an old obsolete AOL CD. News video cameras won't be able to tell the difference.

Boycotting the "Ditsy Chicks" is not mutually exclusive with boycotting Cheryl Crow. I have a defective Cherl Crow CD I can donate to be crushed.

They sung the song, as many songs apparently are no longer written by the performers. Personally, until this whole issue, I didn't realize all the songs they had sung. I went out and purchased a few of their CDs this weekend because I do like the music. And while I support the troops, pray for their success, and wish them safely home, I will not destroy the CDs I have purchased nor will I sell them for donations. I like the music and will continue to listen to them. Heck, if I did that I'd have to get rid of more than half of the rock bands from the 60s and 70s CDs I listen to as well!!
