One summer day the US found a nexus between the 9-11 attacks and Iraq and further found serious violations of many UN Resolutions, in addition to genocide and war-mongering on the part of Saddam.
"This is wrong!" said the US to herself. "I will correct it."
She asked France: "Will you help me correct the violation?"
"Not I," said France.
She asked Germany: "Will you help me correct the violation?"
"Not I," said Germany.
She asked Russia: "Will you help me correct the violation?"
"Not I," said Russia.
She asked Turkey: "Will you help me correct the violation?"
"Not I," said Turkey.
"Then I will correct it myself," said the US.
And she did.
Soon the complaints grew shrill, and the US knew it was time to use force to remove a violent despot and restore democracy and hope to the Middle East.
"Who will help me kick Saddam's ass?" she asked.
"Not I," said France.
"Not I," said Germany.
"Not I," said Russia.
"Not I," said Turkey.
"Then I will kick his ass myself," said the US.
And she did.
So she defeated the Iraqi army in 10 days and clucked triumphantly into Baghdad to the cheers of the liberated Iraqi people.
Then it was time to administer occupied Iraq and set up a democratic form of government.
"And now," said the US, "who will help me to with oil contracts so we can rebuild Iraq and form a stable government?"
"I will!" said France.
"I will!" said Germany.
"I will!" said Russia.
"I will!" said Turkey, "especially in Kurdistan!".
"No, I will administer it myself!" said the US.
And she did.

ONLY problem I see with this story is that it leaves our friends, the Brits and the Spanish out, not to mention the Poles, the Italians and Romania and a bunch of other people who really can't afford to help much, but are doing so anyway.
We are NOT alone, despite what the media tells us!
Other than that, cute story!

Conservatives think alike. I almost posted my own parody last week but someone called and I had to abandon it.

I believe I heard on Fox this morning that something like 18 out of 23 or 26 UN nations were backing us.

something like 18 out of 23 or 26 UN nations were backing us.That's probably EU nations. The UN has something like 180 members. That's part of their problem. Too many despots running the place!

OUTSTANDING!
BTW, it is interesting to note that there are reportedly on the order of 9 more nations with military on the ground in the sandbox NOW that there were for Desert Storm! Believe it or not, this includes a few thousand from (are you ready for this?) FRANCE!
Go figure!! ....and the press is saying the whole world is against us!
Stay vigilent, stay armed, and never trust a muslim or a liberal, because they are both terrorists!

hmmm...maybe they are cooking sand snails...
That is just bizarre then. They do not support us, but their troops are there?
To: Mrs.Liberty
Yes'm, they are. The french head of state (no way I'm gonna try to spell his name - LOL) has more scandles on his list than clintoon, and the press, in it's inimitable way of focusing on everything but salient truth, is failing miserably (yet again) to report the FACTS!
The whole world is NOT against the USA, and the ARE french troops on the ground in the sandbox. Don't know what they are doing or what their duties are, but these troops are side by side with us.
Remember, too, that there ARE folks in the areas away from metropolitan paris who remember WWII and are NOT anti-US; quite to the contrary! .....but the dung-beetle press isn't EVER gonna report THAT!!

Do you have a link or a source re: french troops on the ground with us? It is not that I do not believe you, but I would like to share it with a different forum full of America-hating peaceniks.
I see you are from San Antonio! My husband (a retired Navy Corpsman) grew up there and graduated from Winston Churchill HS.
To: Mrs.Liberty
No, sorry, I have no link. To put it in Navy terms, this comes from a "TAD" job, accomplished by a DAF co-worker (so it was a "TDY" - *SMILE*), which ended about one and a half weeks ago. This info is an "eyewitness account"! He ate lunch with a French Lt Col who joked about making anyone who ate with him very unpopular with the rest of the non-French troops. Not concerned; left the next day to come back to San Antonio!
This source is unimpeachable! It would not, however, be appropriate for name, rank and serial number to be given here.
Don't forget the fact that there are about 9 more countries with troops on the ground in the sand box than there were in Desert Storm, too! The press is trying to say the whole world is against us, and they LIE! Big surprise, right?

Sorry I forgot to mention - the USAF moved us (my family and me) to San Antonio in early 1984. All five of our kids graduated from high school here, but from Northside ISD schools, so Churchill was always a rival - LOL!
