Stuart, FL Counter-Protest update 03 14 03. Friday nite...Way to Go!...great turnout from counter-protestors that Mike recruited plus the folks at the First Baptist Church who made some great signs in support of Bush and our troops plus just folks who showed up out of nowhere. This was the sixth demo I've attended and at the first four- I was the lone counter-protestor with up to 40 "Anti-War" demonstrators. Tonite our counter-protest drew an overwhelming enthusiastic reaction from drivers- an estimated ten times more honking than the peacniks received on their best nite when they had the street virtually to themselves.

Great!!! That way our troops are represented at the rallies. I sure wish I knew how to do a poster.. and to blow that pic of the ship up for this weekend!!

Checked out the shutterfly slide show...great quality pics and nice press account also. Hope we get a good turnout this Friday...I've put out some flyers for the rally to Support Our Troops plus some road signs at intersections and called the local TV and Newspapers to try to get some press clips to send the troops about our community supporting them. Funny but I sense the media seems reluctant to cover demos that aren't controversial or confrontational so I was able to raise their interest when I told them "anti-war" demonstrators will probably be at the rally too.
