Texaggie ran it last year, there's a new one up on the General Interest side. I'm back to defend my title from last year. ;)

BTW: Tennessee got jobbed. No way either Alabama or Auburn deserved to get in ahead of the Vols. Bama might have played a tougher schedule, but they folded down the stretch and stunk up the joint against Vandy in the SEC tourney(and had a losing record in the conference). As for Auburn, who did they play outside the SEC?

And for the record, I'm an LSU fan, so I'm not saying this as a homer.

Don't worry, not a single sports thread goes by without someone saying "who cares?", lol. Not a single one.

Watching 10 tall guys play grab ass in their underwear is not enough to keep me awake.

OK, I know almost nothing about college hoops, but I'm still fillin' out a bracket. Last year, mine was hopelessly busted by the middile of the first round, so I just left it to rot. Maybe I'll be lucky this year.

How did UNC Wilmington get in there? I didn't follow them this year...

Watch out, 13 seeds can be tricky...

Yep. Watch out for Tulsa in the South.

I feel an ill wind blowing for the Big 12 this year. Texas gets screwed with a potential 2nd round tilt with LSU in Birmingham. That's SEC country and I think their fans have the most conference loyalty. I guess that's payback for Miss State getting sent to Dallas to be spanked by the Horns last year.

Last time Kansas was sent to OKC for the first weekend they were beaten by 8-seed Rhode Island. Look for the Jayhawks to miss the Sweet Sixteen again this year. OU scoring only 12 points in the second half today makes them look like 2-and-out this year. I'm thinking only two Big 12 teams will make the sweet sixteen, and it will be some combination of UT, OU, and Missouri.

"Tennessee had too many players suspended for abuse of calling cards. Oh wait, that's Villanova, TN doesn't discipline until the offseason. Say, does that guy who molested a girl on his campus visit still play for TN football or did he finish his eligibility?"

SEC stands for

Scholastically and

Ethically

Challenged

Maybe it was victories against Oklahoma, Xavier, Miss St., LSU, Auburn, all tourney teams. Remember, the committee takes the entire season into account, not just the conference tourneys.

It seems AU is the team most feel should not have gotten in the tournament. AU's pre-conference schedule was more than a joke. Their biggest pre-conference victories came against powerhouses Rutgers and Southern Miss. That 5 point vicory vs. Denver was also impressive. On the downside, they were thrashed by Western Kentucky 89-70 and humiliated by Western Michigan 72-54. It's pretty much shock city that the tigers even got in. 5-9 in their last 14 games, combined with the weak schedule, consider yourself lucky.

consider yourself lucky.

I would.

However, something you may not know about those last 14 games. 2 were against Kentucky (1 in Rupp), 2 were against MSU (1 on the road), 1 was against Florida, 1 against UGA (on the road), 1 against Alabama (on the road), 1 against LSU (on the road). In other words, it was a very, very tough stretch against teams from "the best conference in America" as vitale called the SEC.

Vitale can't have it both ways - cupcake schedule versus finishing 2nd in the Western Division of the "best conference in America". Which one is it???
