Rally for America Caravan/Convoy gathering points for both I-580/I-5 and I-80 routes into Sacramento will be updated on Monday or Tuesday after our resources check with Cal-Trans Park&Ride division and rest-stop checkpoints are identified. We'd like to extend an invitation to any Northern California Freepers out there that would like to take on the Freeper Convoy lead car role for the two routes into the Capitol.

Be sure to check the Glenn Beck forum for more updates. http://freedom.visualdegradation.com/index.php

Let's all work together to make Liberty Weekend and our collective rallies, ring from sea to shining sea.

Rally for America Planning Session
In The Bunker
Saturday, March 15th

ImageMark Williams, our patriotic talk show host and Rally for America Master of Ceremonies joined PDN Rally Team Leader Dawn Setters in the Bunker for our first joint Team Meeting.  It was a busy and productive day.  We are truly blessed to have so many talented people behind the scenes that will make this important event a success.  Northern California will do it's share!

When you get into the spirit of a team meeting, you sometimes forget to document it. These are just a few pictures of the team in action and we'll caption them later.  A few of the people who arrived early and helped us lay out priorities for the rally didn't get into the work session candid camera's view finder.  One has to remember to take pictures but we were just having to much fun and time flew by.

Leaders in the Vietnamese-American community join PDN members in planning outreach and possible live radio coverage of the rally.

Dawn hears the magic words, "Sure, I can take that task on!"  A local attorney volunteers to work on a legislative sponsor, a KFBK staffer takes on some graphics and video projection needs, a couple who have joined in PDN sponsored events writes a much needed check for membership dues.

Dawn and her husband Mike look at an assortment of patriotic goodies. Some will be given away to rally participants who help the veteran and military family support organizations co-sponsoring the rally. We've had many requests to make t-shirts and other goodies available.

Topflight entertainment will stir rally visitors from start to finish thanks to this team.  LLoyd and Jonathon cue up a sound-track that Oakland A's fans experienced firsthand. That's all we're letting slip...

I'm told the Uncle Sam gif is public domain and has appeared widely on FR and other sites. We try to search out sources of these great art pieces... never had anyone turn us down on reuse requests. At the same time, it's great to be able to give attribution to an author, so if anyone knows, please advise.

Thank you for the kind words. I must say, were it not for all the Bay Area Freepers, who have been such an inspiration, we'd not have gotten this off the ground without a major corporate sponsor. A hand full of my friends in Sacramento went to San Francisco to join SeenTheLight and 60 others up against 65,000. The rest is history. This is grassroots - PERIOD! I hope it nudges Sacramento Freepers to get back into the game.

You folks in Ventura have the spirit... it all starts there. The rest is teamwork... being willing to carry the water sometimes when you'd rather be running the ball. Were you to ask for advice, my other suggestion is to involve as many other organizations and non-Freepers as you can. Some will join FR, many won't. Having all your eggs in one basket is bad if somebody drops it!

Thanks for the advice! We are trying to get as many non-freeper groups involved as possible and in the process have gained a member or two. I am also trying flush out all those quiet freepers and lurkers! That was me for three years but then something happened last week. I feel so liberated!!!

Good for you for becoming a lurker-no-more:) I didn't last long as a lurker myself, because I'm too much of a loud mouth!

And good luck getting some local activism started! Mostly, folks just need someone to get the ball rolling...
