Duh! Of course they've been given a go date. Months ago. You always have a go date. I've never seen a plan without a go date.

Keep 'em guessing.
Like to see 50 more reports of 'Go'Dates from March 17 through April Fools day.

It is reported that ground and air troops are to go to war at the same time.I find this to be HIGHLY unlikely...
To: grahm_crackers
Impressive, eh?

I doubt that this is accurate. Bush, Blair, and Anzar are attending a summit meeting in the Azores tomorrow. The stated purpose it to work out diplomatic strategy. My guess is that they will also settle on the final timetable; i.e. if the UN fails to meet it obligations, we move in X hours. It is likely, however, that the military has been warned that the order will be issued within 72 hours.

The photo I posted came with the following caption-
'Tanks and soldiers of the 7th Armored brigade gather for a briefing by US Lieutenant General Jeff Conway Commanding General 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in the Kuwait desert, March 14, 2003. Leaders of the United States, Britain and Spain will hold an emergency summit on Sunday in a last-gasp diplomatic effort to overcome opposition in the U.N. Security Council to a resolution paving the way for war on Iraq (news - web sites). (Dan Chung/Reuters) '
I dont know much about how the military does things, but that looks like a huge briefing in the photo to me.

The troops have been ordered to open the packs with their "War Grade" chemical suits.
The suits are only good for 45 days after the seals are broken.
We do not have enough certified suits for a second issue.
Therefore we must be planning to have Iraq conquered and all WMDs found and siezed within 45 days.
We cannot not fight, because we cannot get our troops out of the area in 45 days and if they are there without CBW protection, Saddam would almost certainly make an attack on them.

I'm quite sure that the troops have not been given the "go date." They were probably just told on what day and at what hour the war would start.
Oliver North was on the FoxNews last night and he told Hannity & Colmes that we would be astonished at how fast the ground troops would get moving after the air war starts. Though it can be argued that the air war has started already.
North says that he intends to broadcast (for FoxNews) from a liberated Baghdad once the BREW DALL dictator has been removed.

This report is a transparent attempt to damage Bush politically.
They are bent on capitalizing on the adminstrations apperance of policy goals dictated by the mob.
What saddens me is that this ploy comes at the expense of troop morale.
Please don't assist in this process by informing your loved ones who are in-theater of this announcement. Delays are already taking their toll on morale and generating renewed false hopes of a quick trip home through Baghdad isn't going to help.
