[history]
Martin Sheen's politicking against the war on terrorism may have cost him a lucrative endorsement contract.
Sheen and his son Charlie starred in a spot for Visa's Check Card which was cited as one of the top TV commercials of 2002. But it was abruptly canceled last week.

Made my day.
By the way, one of my liberal neighbors was complaining that LeftWest Wing was pre-empted this Wednesday. Think there's a link? That would make it all the more delicious, if they also dumped WW.

I had the joy of telling them when I cancelled and signed up with another long distance carrier. It was a most satisfying moment.

I am very pleased to see atleast one company standing up for what we Americans love and that is America; not some hate bashing America idiot. Maybe there is hope for us. I think we should quit paying taxes and buying; then maybe those groups in our states and Washington that, and I laugh; call themselves lawmakers, instead of what they really are, greedy crooks.

There is justice in the world!!
While these celebrities play a role in our spots, they in no way represent the views of Visa.
Sorry VISA, but it is a guilt by association situation at minimum. He is acting as your spokesman, with all the baggage that carries. You hired him for his supposed popularity, now fire his leftist butt because of his unpopularity! Best to cut your losses just in case. We are watching you!

I've had good haggis and not so good haggis. In the settings I'm in there's usually good Scotch involved so the difference between good and not so good somehow gets blurred.

Ya know...I'm not quite sure what the relationship is between haggis & Scotch. Did the Scots invent Scotch because they had to eat haggis? Or did they invent haggis because they were drinking Scotch. It's a mystry. Rest assured the research will continue. Slainte' Mhath!

This deserve a bump. I am so happy he is feeling it in his pocketbook.
I did think the commercial was clever but I can't stand Sheen.
To: arasina

I think it would be an excellent idea if our troops put a saddle on one those things and have Martin Sheen ride it off into the sunset holding a Visa card......

Title 18 Section 2381. Treason...
should be on a webpage with a list of known traitors.
Starting with Hollywood, school teachers that promote kids protesting in their schools, basketball players, that turn their back on the flag, rock and country music groups etc...
