Israel Kills Five Palestinians in W.Bank-Witnesses Fri March 14, 2003 01:48 AM ET JENIN, West Bank (Reuters) - Israeli forces killed at least five Palestinians on Friday during a raid on the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank, Palestinian witnesses said. An Israeli military source had no immediate information on the reported deaths but said soldiers had shot several gunmen who had opened fire during an army operation against wanted militants.
The witnesses said tanks and helicopters took part in the raid on the camp, the site of fierce fighting in an Israeli military offensive in the West Bank nearly a year ago after Palestinian suicide attacks in Israel.
On Thursday, Israeli special forces killed five armed Palestinians in a swoop on their hideout in the village of Tamoun, south of the city of Jenin.
Israel has been stepping up operations against militant strongholds in the West Bank and Gaza. At least 1,930 Palestinians and 726 Israelis have been killed since the Palestinian uprising for statehood began in September 2000.

Why does Reuters always "keep score" on the number of Palestinians vs. Israelis killed on almost every Israeli victory.

The story is never "5 killed after attack on Police." It's always a one-sided headline. And you're right - Reuters does keep score. I think someone in their bureau must have a "Deaths I Attribute To The Jews" chalkboard.

Every story scores the kill-count *sigh*
Even this one
"Israel has been stepping up operations against militant strongholds in the West Bank and Gaza. At least 1,930 Palestinians and 726 Israelis have been killed since the Palestinian uprising for statehood began in September 2000."
What they don't say is 700 Israelis killed by homicide bombers while 1,930 Palestinians were killed through defensive, even offensive military action designed to thwart more homice bomings.

I have ZERO sympathy for the murderous Palestinians.
Palestinians murder Americans with impugnity.
They should be arrested and held accountable today.

Reuters is an insufferably boring Arabist institution, kind of like the U.S. State Department. ...Not Colin Powell himself, but the careerist lackeys who work there.

At least 1,930 Palestinians and 726 Israelis have been killed since the Palestinian uprising for statehood began in September 2000. How disgusting - since Arafat alone has 40,000 "policemen," that first number should be higher by a factor of 20+. Israelis: Go practice!
P.S. I wrote my tagline BEFORE this article was posted. It wasn't difficult.

Do you know if the 1,930 Palestinians include the ones the committed suicide..I mean homicide? In fact it does. It even includes the ones who blew themselves up by accident before they got into Israel. Another strange statistic, people have stopped dying from natural causes in Palestine. Nobody dies from old age or traffic accidents anymore, they are all killed by JOOO's...
To: July 4th; Pro-Bush
More significantly, why do their headlines indentify them as Palestinians, leading one to think they're civilian casualties.
An update.
IDF: Six Terrorists Killed In Jenin
(IsraelNN.com) Official IDF sources are reporting six terrorists were killed in a shootout with soldiers in PA-controlled Jenin. There were no injuries to IDF soldiers.

Eleven, two different incidents
IDF kills 11 Palestinian militiamen in overnight battles
Soldiers entered Tamoun, a village near Jenin, Thursday night, killing five Palestinians in a gun battle. According to the IDF, at least three were Hamas members.
In a pre-dawn incursion into Jenin, Israeli soldiers were fired upon and killed a further six Palestinians, reportedly members of Islamic Jihad.

Nice to know, mathmatically speaking, everytime a Palestinian kills an Israeli, approximately two more Palestinians are going to die as well....Do they not teach math to Palestinians????

They do, specifically that a higher birthrate can more than make up for a losing casualty ratio. You can thank Egypt (1956) for that particular lesson.
