I don't find that surprising at all. She was a 14-yr-old child when taken and she was utterly dependent on them both for her needs. She's from a warm, caring family where she has been taught to care for others. And if this guy did claim his "conjugal" rights with her, even though I consider that a rape, the Bible makes clear that its a bond that has a spiritual dimension--she cannot help that this creep has been a part of her. I've known several young women who were date-raped and then spent years trying to establish a relationship with the perp. Sad, but true.
