Clearing a city that is strongly defended is never a pleasent task. During WWII the Gremans just about leveled Staligrad and the Russians did the same to Berlin. IMHO any structure used as shelter to fire on American troops should be subjected to immediate hits by precision guided munitions that level said structure. We can clean up any rats that survive. By methodically employeing these tactics we shall minimize American casualties.

"If soldiers shoot at us from a mosque," Palekas said, "that mosque has just lost its protected status."EXCELLENT news. We all know that mosques will be their preferred firing position. It will be a long while after we start shooting the people or bombing the mosques themselves before they start to get the hint and give them up for an Alternate Location. And I'd bet that they probably don't have an Alternate Location.
