Posted on 03/13/2003 3:15:10 AM PST by boxerblues

Im at at a lose for words here. We are at Fort Sill for my sons graduation from boot camp at Fort Sill, yesterday was family day and things kept getting delayed. They finally come out to tell us that one of the soldiers had died about an hour before. I talked with my son about what happened and all he knew was that the boy had said I cant breathe and then collapsed. If I can find a link I will post it later

Sorry to hear of the loss of one of our best young men.

Prayers for this unknown and his family.

Dear Lord, put your arms around them, hold them close and welcome this young man home.

Tell you son his service is deeply appreciated and I wish him safe duty.

Sorry to hear about that- for what it's worth, please don't let this worry you overmuch- every now and then a seemingly fit young man will, unfortunately, die during physical activity- we've seen several cases on hihg-school football teams, etc.. Doesn't necessarily mean they were being overworked/abused.

Condolences to the family, and thanks to your son for serving his country.

He was huffing (inhaling chemicals) in a cleaning closet, an unfortunately more common form of getting "high" in young people than most realize.
