Dixie Chicks Official Web Site Blocks Only Free Board to Hide Public Criticism of their Bush Hate!

I had suspected this happened, but thanks to Centurion2000 for tracking it down and proving it: The Dixie Chicks have pulled an Alex Baldwin and SHUT DOWN THEIR PUBLIC BOARD so that the public cannot complain about their public America-bashing and Bush-bashing! However, the board is still there; there's just no link from the site's front page any more. As I write this, there hasn't been a single post there in 64 minutes, even though it was receiving three to five posts per minute up until 7:05 pm Eastern.

There are several other boards on the site, but those are only available for people stupid enough to pay $30/yr for access. And of course, there's not a single negative word in any of those threads!

So, suggestions:

1) CONTINUE TO POST IN THE HIDDEN FORUM, noting that we know our messages can't be seen and we don't care. This will let the record company and their PR goons know that we're on to them, and angry enough to keep posting anyway.

2) Start finding other country music web sites, none of which are controlled by the Dixie Chicks' goons, and post the truth THERE! Post your links to such boards in this thread!

I've always felt they would be a better band with a different lead singer. Their version of "Landslide", that has been getting an obscene amount of airplay, is pale and anemic campared to the original. It's just their physical attractiveness that has put their popularity above that of more talented artists like Alison Kraus and Union Station.
