The other night, at their opening for their tour in London, they indicated on stage that they were sad to know/hear that our President was from Texas. Again, it is sad to see and hear yet another "celebrity" announcing that they are ashamed of their President of their Unites States. I just wish we would get over and get back so that these "celebrities" would quit using all of these Grammy, Emmy, own concert "stages" to provide their political saitre.

That was from the 'Fly' album cover, I can't believe a girl from Texas would ever say such a stupid thing...

Some "freeping" we can do ...

CMT hosts something called the "Flame-worthy" awards. The voting is 100% fans via the CMT website. Soooo, maybe we all get on the site and vote for the opposition?

Now we know why all these folks are entertainers, and not elected officials. They should really keep their night time jobs!

damn...it's easy for me to hate hollywood, but the Dixie Chix? Oh well, I guess I'll have to pay them back by using morpheous to thank them :-)

Well, first of all, they ARE Hollywood. There's nothing even slightly Nashville about the Spice Girls of Country Music. Second, don't use morpheus to download thew spewage. Instead, create a bunch of MP3s of Hitler speeches, Bush's State of the Union speeches, French Security Council whines, etc, and put them up on morpheus with the same names as Dixie Chicks songs!

When your fame is as tenuous as theirs is, you really shouldn't go alienating people.

Hasta la vista, Chicks!

Time to call your local country radio station & let them know you will no longer be listening to them as long as the Didtzes are played. Could also get others to do the same...

You mean the same radio stations that ignored the fact that half the country was listening to the "O Brother Where Art Thou" soundtrack and wouldn't play anything outside of "'Constant Sorrow" because they would rather play the "new" country (i.e. pop country) than real country music that they think nobody listens to anymore?

Radio stations these days are very very pathetic. Rarely will you find a station billing itself as country/western that isn't stuck playing today's pop country.

The Dixie Chicks aren't Country music anyhow. They're "Country Pop for suburban women."

A number of Pop bands have been Blasting Bush
One of the most recent events was Sheryl Crow changing one of her songs to be Anti-Bush/Anti War.

Buckeye Pie (the conservative antedote to "The Onion" ) started posting the lyrics to songs if pop stars were Conservative and they did the same thing Crow did. Here's one for the Backstreet Boys:

Just give me more money
(to the tune of "Just as long as you love me")

I'm Hillary Clinton - I want to be pres-i-dent
Here's what you can do for me
Just a small donation can really help me out
I need to raise a lot of money

I don't care who you are
Who you killed
where you're from
Just as long - as you give me money
yeah yeah
Just give me more money

All those awful dreadful nights I spent with Bill Clinton
I hope will pay off right now
'Cause alone I don't even stand a chance
but now that I'm a Senator
I can try claim - that I have exper-ience

I don't care who you are
Who you killed (who you killed - baby)
where you're from
Just as long - as you give me money
yeah yeah
Just give me more money
Oh yeah baby
Just give me more money

they sound like a bad Hallmark card anyway

No they don't, they're damned talented musicians and their new CD is great. I'm very sorry that I won't buy it now.

Bummer. They did such a great National Anthem at the SuperBowl. Guess either that was fake or they think bashing the Prez in a time of war is patriotic.

All magazine layouts like that are harshly lit and extensively photoshopped ... it's much easier to follow a formula than to bring out an individual woman's unique natural beauty.

I can't believe that Emily or Marty made this comment, I know they've played for Bush and when I saw them on an interview program they were asked a political question and Emily stated emphatically that it made no sense for them to comment on political matters...no matter what they said they'd piss off half of their fans. That was a very intelligent comment for a 'performer' to make. I wish that all three of them had stuck to that position.
