Nice to see that patriotism is still "alive" in San Francisco....

Has San Franciso been taken over by the French?

WTF is wrong with these people?! It is federal law to register for Selective Service. To encourage avoidance of a federal law is a felony, is it not?

Citizenship is to be taught in the Public Schools, not anarchism.

Maybe that is why the peoples republic of S.F. have to pay over $2.00 per gallon of gas.

Things do have a way of getting even, the earth may even shake a little.

"I hope the federal government comes along and does exactly what it said it would do, which is cut off their federal funds," he said.

Agreed!

What are you people talking about?!?!?! Nobody is talking about dodging the draft. There IS no draft.

Nobody is telling any young men not to register with Selective Service. And the school administrators are not doing or advocating anything illegal. Maybe they ARE unpatriotic. But their ACTIONS are perfectly legal. And I would OPPOSE having my family's private information handed over to ANYONE from the government if that can be avoided.

This kind of jingoism, and accusing people of "draft dodging" when--repeat--there is no draft--and when nobody is telling anybody to break any law, is not patriotism; it's neo-Fascism.

The REAL problem highlighted in this story is the ever-more-urgent need to get rid of government schools. Then, children will not be educated either by unpatriotic lefties or by fascists, but by their parents and those hired by their parents.

Hewitt said such districts should be punished for violating the intent of the law.

When people are punished for violating the INTENT of a law, they are living under a dictatorship, not the rule of law.

Soldier

I want you to close your eyes and picture in your mind the soldier at Valley Forge, as he holds his musket in his bloody hands.

He stands barefoot in the snow, starved from lack of food, wounded from months of battle and emotionally scarred from the eternity away from his family surrounded by nothing but death and carnage of war.

He stands though, with fire in his eyes and victory on his breath. He looks at us now in anger and disgust and tells us this...

I gave you a birthright of freedom born in the Constitution and now your children graduate too illiterate to read it.

I fought in the snow barefoot to give you the freedom to vote and you stay at home because it rains.

I left my family destitute to give you the freedom of speech and you remain silent on critical issues, because it might be bad for business.

I orphaned my children to give you a government to serve you and it has stolen democracy from the people.

It's the soldier not the reporter who gives you the freedom of the press.

It's the soldier not the poet who gives you the freedom of speech.

It's the soldier not the campus organizer who allows you to demonstrate.

It's the soldier who salutes the flag, serves the flag, whose coffin is draped with the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag!!!

"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Prayer Wheel:
When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our U.S. ground troops in Afghanistan, Kuwait AND all over this world.

Excuse me, the rule of law is different than "INTENT" of law.

So this is how we got to "depends on what the meaning of "IS" is.

Dictatorship, hardly, when intent and rule have different meanings then there is anarchy.

I don't think they are advocating not registering with Selective Service.
