Rock Band (Mudvayne) compares George Bush to Osama Bin Laden - Boston Radio Station Boycotts Band
WAAF ^ | 3/11/03 | Me

Posted on 03/11/2003 3:26:51 PM PST by AStack75

WAAF 107.3FM is a popular rock station here in Boston. This past Friday in Lowell, Massachusetts, WAAF had their "Indoor Beach Party". The Indoor Beach Party is a multi-band concert which included the group Mudvayne.

The lead singer of the band compared George Bush to Saddam Hussein and Bin Laden and said "F*** George W. Bush" during their set. So, Greg Hill, the morning show guy at WAAF, decided that he wasn't gonna play music by these Anti-American fools.

Matt, the drummer of Mudvayne, did an on-air interview with the morning show guys to tell his side of the story. He actually said that Greg Hill's boycott is a form of terrorism.

Click here to listen to the interview.

Feel free to send you comments to the morning show guys by sending an email here.

Here is Mudvayne's official website.

Thanks for the information.

I'm sick and tired of these relativist morons. How much money has this band made in the USA, for them to call our President a terrorist.

F*ck Mudvayne!

Isn't everyone tired of 'Celebrity Pundits' - is it all really about political conviction, or does it really lie in all the 'face time' they receive over their stupid remarks?

I support the boycott of this ban - and will let all our readers know to send them a little mail saying the same thing. Of course, I've never heard of them until now - however, that's besides the point. :)

He actually said that Greg Hill's boycott is a form of terrorism.

The Left is abusing this term.

I heard a black guy on a lib talk show today, in discussing a flap over poor conditions in the county's criminal forensics laboratory, actually say "Everybody's talkin' 'bout 'al-kaida', but we got terrorism goin' on right here in Houston!"

Excuse me, but what the H*LL are you talking about?

Just sent Greg Hill a supportive e-mail. It's good to see a rock station take a stand for America. WAAF are known for being raunchy but this is not the first time they have done something decent.

I caught the Hill-man this morning, and he explained his position, which makes a lot of sense. It's not verbatim but goes like this...

He said that while Mudvayne has a right to come out against the war, doing so under the pretense of their celebrity basically gives him the right to not play their music.

No big loss there...

To be fair to the drummer of mudvayne I would get angry at DJ too. Even though I knew the DJ was in the right I would still be pissed. The lead singer spouts off some meaningless garbage now I have to defend him(the singer) to some idiot DJ, all DJ's are idiots I know number of them.
