By THE JERUSALEM POST INTERNET STAFF

Hamas' military wing has also taken responsibility for Monday night's sniper attack in Hebron in which an Israeli soldier was killed and four others wounded.

In a statement released to the media, Hamas named the terrorist as Hafez Rajbi, a resident of a nearby Hebron neighborhood.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine General Command had earlier claimed responsibility for the attack.

Sgt. Tomer Ron, 20, from Moshav Moledet, an IDF soldier, was killed and four others wounded by at least one sniper on the road that links Kiryat Arba with the Machpela Cave in nearby Hebron on Monday night.
