What international support? Who, other than India, perhaps Turkey under the table, and the US supports Israel?

US President George W. Bush, through Secretary of State Colin Powell, has given notice to Israel that, should Saddam attack Israel and should Israel respond, Israel would forfeit all international support.

Somehow I find this very, very hard to believe...

Who is this guy? Is he credible or just another Bush-hating malcontent. I can't see any real "International support" for Israel. I can picture us laying down some guidelines to ensure we aren't interfered with, or maybe even to buy a little time before having to wage war on another Islaamic front, but I've heard Ari Fleischer mention on several occassions that "Israel has a right to protect herslef."

If Saddam uses WMDs on Israel, Sharon WILL nuke Iraq.

First off, thanks for the ping.

Secondly...

US President George W. Bush, through Secretary of State Colin Powell, has given notice to Israel that, should Saddam attack Israel and should Israel respond, Israel would forfeit all international support.

This has got to be BS. If it isn't, how arrogant and rude is it to say, "If you are attcked, don't do anything!"?????

Why all the surprise here? This is exactly the same thing the US told Israel during the 1991 Gulf War - sit tight and let *us* protect you; don't retaliate. We feared that if Israel let a couple fly at Iraq, the rest of the Arabs would become uncontrollable - as if we can control them anyway.

This is nothing new, and it's how we're going to "run it" - no retaliation for Israel if they want us to play ball with them.
