Hey, nimrod, a lot of people were killed on 9/11. Didja forget about that?

"But we're going to kill a lot of people next week. Let's not forget about that...We're making a huge mistake"-singer Neil Young.
VS.
"People shouldn't care what I think just 'cause I'm a celeb. Just like George Bush shouldn't call me up and tell me my last album sucked".-Rapper Kid Rock
Who makes better sense here?

Tonight you are having a good time, all right. But what are the people in Iraq doing? Are they? They live in 17th century standards. Many in the ME and African countries do, because the world has allowed the kind of oppression and demogoguery to go on, while they had a good time. Peace, love and understanding, indeed.

"Tonight we're having a good time," singer Neil Young said at Monday's ceremony. "But we're going to kill a lot of people next week. Let's not forget about that ... We're making a huge mistake." This calls for a round of "Sweet Home Alabama." Hmm... let me change a line a bit....
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember
An American don't need him around anyhow.

Old news but a pleasant reminder of inductions past:
The Ramones were, predictably, more efficient. After running off a short list of thank-yous, Johnny Ramone offered a straight-faced, "God bless President Bush, and God bless America." Dee Dee Ramone chose not to offer thanks to influences or industry friends. " I'd like to congratulate myself and thank myself and give myself a pat on the back," he said with punk glee. "Thank you, Dee Dee."

The Clash were Marxists (although I still enjoyed many of their songs and found Joe Strummer to be a pleasant man when I met him briefly).
When will the useful idiots realize that they are protesting with communists.
The "onset" of war should provoke some reflection but it does not mean that war is never a valid response. War is here whether we want to fight it or not. When Saddam violated his peace agreements and continued with his weapons programs, he broke the peace from the end of the 1991 Gulf War.
If a convicted violent felon were loose on the streets and acquiring firearms, would people be asking why is this man still loose and not being prosecuted for his illegal weapons? It is not the concept of whether all weapons are illegal but whether it is legal for this man to possess them. Those who push for gun control seem to be the ones against this war.
Negotiating a "peace" with Japan and Germany in WWII without toppling their leaders would have only allowed our enemies to get stronger; sealing our own doom.

Neil Young was always an annoying jackass with a good song every 5 years or so.

I let this paraphrase loose on the world. In the interest of historical accuracy, here is the actual story with direct quote:
Kid Rock is no part of any anti-war movement, reports the New York Daily News. "Why is everybody trying to stop the war," Rock asked. "George Bush ain't been saying, 'You all, make sh**y records.' Politicians and music don't mix. It's like whisky and wine. [Musicians] ought to stay out of it." But that doesn't stop him from offering an opinion himself. "We got to kill that mother****er Saddam," he says. "Slit his throat. Kill him and the guy in North Korea."

LOL--my guess is Mick Jones is probably already back in London with his soiled skivvies in tow.
Some people are so morally inept.

No kidding. I don't like Kid Rock's music and image(totally white trash), but like people I know personally who fit that bill, their clarity on this issue is beyond reproach.

Hey didn't Neil Young write a tune called "Let's Roll"? And now that were rolling, he thinks it's a huge mistake? What exactly did he think that phrase meant? It meant, "We're going to kill these guys before they kill us or die trying." How is that different from taking out the world's A #1 terroist state? Are any of these guys coherent?
