UN Is Irrelevant ALERT
To: Cap Huff
Did you see the thread about Saddam perhaps making an address before the vote, with planning and prodding from France?
It looks to me as if France is doing whatever it can to try to keep us from getting into Iraq.
And I bet you my house that when we go, even if they veto, they will DEMAND to be part of the "cleanup."

I heard on FOX that a spokesman for Tony Blair is saying Britain is willing to extend the Mar. 17 deadline with specific list of things for Iraq to do.

Almost sounds like the french WANT to do away with the UN, doesn't it?Aside from all of the embargoed items stamped "Made in France", what could the reason be for such obstinance?? You know we would let them off the hook for it...

Even the leftist TV news networks are starting to point out how absurd the Weasles will look and how Saddm will justify the US/Brit position if he unleashes WMD.
Must be obvious to a newborn babe if the networks are starting to acknowlege it.

United Nations = France, Germany, Russia, China, yesterdays wheaties ALL!
This will be the end of the UN.
NEXT Organization, UNITED FREEDOM LOVING NATIONS!
Somewhat smaller but no winey Socialist Nations allowed.
To: mhking
The UN will survive in the long run unfortunately! It will survive because the UN is the tool of satan and it's time ain't up yet!! :(

France and Russia are daring us to call a vote. What is the chance of France losing its favored-nation trading status?
A shame that the awesome legacy of LaFayette has been so egregiously soiled on.
To: mhking
Almost sounds like the french WANT to do away with the UN, doesn't it? It does indeed. And if their two choices are (a) helping to strengthen the U.S. "hyperpower" and (b) destroying the UN, they very well might prefer the latter.

And Saddam will exploit that too and milk it for all it's worth in time.
