OK, I need some help here. I have tennis drill on Saturday mornings from 8:00 till around 10:30. I was running close to time, and could not watch the news on television, so I turned on talk radio. I don't know which show it was, it sounded like a news conference. I thought that I heard they stated that had captured the number one Al-Quaeda person (OBL, I presumed). I thought I was listening to history in the making.
The speaker, whom I did not know, stated how this was a major break, and history, and kept talking about how the local Pak newspaper had offered a bounty on the head of any American. The speaker said the reason they were having trouble is because it is too difficult to identify an Amercian because they can be Chinese, African AMerican, Italian, Native American, Dutch, German Polish, etc.
Went inside for drill.
Came out, turned on TV, no OBL capture or reference to the newsconference. Does anyone have a clue what I was listening to, who was the subject of the announcement (KSM, or OBL's sons?), what the announcement was? It would have been about 9:00 Eastern.
P.S. I know, nutburger, wingnut, . . . .

robust and loud
I had a girlfriend years ago who was "robust and loud"...problem was, she'd bring her doggie along, and that little yipper would run around growling and yelping as a result.

Better to crush Iraq and a few others while OBL is still "alive" and the psychotics, for that reason, are still at their most rabid and ideologically emboldened.
After Iraq is out of the terror business and the Iran domino begins to fall, as their morale, finances, strength, numbers, planning abilities, etc., are well into free-fall, then announcing the capture/death of OBL will be the nail in the coffin.
Unless "They" have decided that morale &c are already low enough and it is indeed time to issue some "captured!" news. What's being reported is certainly false -- we are not "about to capture" OBL. Either we know he's dead, and we'll announce the "recent death" soon, or he's alive and we aren't about to capture him -- see previous paragraph.
