I'm not sure what you're saying. My only point is that Jesus knew He was doing the Father's Will and knew He was destined to be crucified. Obviously He had no choice in the matter, from our human viewpoint, so neither did the perps. The drama was preordained.

Therefore, this business about the Jews murdering Jesus and to be condemed therefor is silly. God wrote the script and the actors played their parts.

Au contraire.

God never prevented man's volition in the matter. Note Christ's lament when he rode into Jerusalem on the donkey and His people received Him not. The opportunity for the Jews to receive the Messaih did indeed exist. Continued suffering wasn't necessary at that point had the Jews received Him. A decision point was reached and the decision made by the Jews was a rejection of the Messiah.

Again on the cross, Jesus remained obedient to the Father, but I must admit I'm not certain that Jesus Christ knew if he was going to suffer the first death and at that point. One significant point was Jesus Christ's perfect obedience to the Father and His resultant Perfect Sacrifice. An adversary might argue that foreknowledge of this and lack of a decision point on Christ's behalf would eliminate any element of sacrifice.

"The drama was preordained" very true indeed as the present modern day drama is preordained.

Note ICorinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition,(warning) upon whom the ends of the world (world should be ages) are come. (How many heaven/earth "ages" are there to be?)

v12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

So unless one is familiar with the "ensamples" taken as a warning of replaying the "drama", not going to know how to stand.

So preordained is saying that at a previous time and place something was decided. When was this previous time - maybe Peter says when IIPeter 3:1-18. v. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: v6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

V7 But the heavens and the earth which are "now" by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of jusgment and perdition of ungodly men.

This flood of old is also described in Jeremiah 4 where no flesh was save so it is not talking about Noah.

The preordained business happened prior to the creation of flesh man. The "WORD" condems those who killed Christ even though they were following the script, "have you not read?".

I think we agree,...and I've learned a bit through the thread.

Jesus Christ gave His life, not taken by any other,...He had the Law written on His heart, so He was aware of the situation, but focused on obedience to the Father, was Man and God, as displayed in th sense of "Why hath Thou foresaken me!

Issue of Jews or Gentiles being responsible for the death is a bit moot with respect to the emphasis of His plan and His action, His Sacrifice, His glory, His obedience, and fulfillment of Scripture.

I suspect there is some rich aspects of the sceario related to the behavior of the Jews at the time so I don't discard that bit of history entirely. I suspect it might offer another approach towards acknowledging the position of Christ interlinked in Prophecy.
