Gov. Holden on Friday said that if it got to his desk, he would veto a bill passed Thursday by the Missouri House that would make it legal to carry concealed weapons.

He suggested such a proposal would be better decided in a statewide vote similar to Proposition B, which was narrowly defeated in 1999.

BANG!!

provide "no long-term safety and does nothing to unite people,"

Nothing like a gang rape to "unite people" and make them cry for more government power.

TYRANT!

this bill was passed in the house and will probably pass the senate. Everyone knows that Gov. Holden will not sign it, but they are using this issue as another club to pound on his (Holden's) head.

The GOP holds Missouri's House AND the Senate. In 2004 Roy Blunt will live in the mansion just down the street from the capitol building - and THEN a bill like this will pass.

What would you expect from a man like Holden?

I agree with the idiot Holden, but for another reason. All of these concealed carry laws are unconstitutional. The U.S. constitution give all the authority to carry a weapon concealed or not anytime you want, and buying into the legitimacy of these carry permits does nothing but help further destroy the founding fathers intent.

Holden is just another no guts radical left wing extremist liberal demorat..

He has whined the phase "the people spoke in 1999" so many times. Of course he forgets the people spoke in 2000, 2002 and will speak again in 2004.

Hopefully O T B (one term bob) will be defeated in 2004, as have so many of his Missouri RLELDs buddys did in 2000 and 2002.
