First, as L.N. Smithee said, the article calls this "Fistgage", but never refers to it by its real name. Hardly journalistic integrity. We, as conservatives gripe all the time (and rightfully so) about the LIBERAL bias in the mainstream media, and then we simply accept outright some CONSERVATIVE bias as ok? Is that intellectually honest?
Second, and after a cursurary (sp?) examination of this thread, I didn't see anyone notice that the article says:
The first Fistgate was in 2000 and caused waves of protests from parents and others. Then it goes on to say:
Four years later in 2003, the Gay/Straight Alliance at Newton North High School...
Now, my math may be wrong here, or I may be missing something from the article (I've read it like 10 times to make sure I'm right here), BUT, HOW do they get that it was "four years later", when the FIRST one was in 2000, and THIS year is 2003?!? At the MOST, that's a 3 year difference, depending on how you count!
In conclusion, I'm sure there are more reputable sources of evidence suggesting a homosexual agenda in public schools. However, this would not be one of them, in my opinion. To take it as anything more than a poorly edited and obviously biased trash piece would be intellectually dishonest, at best, and hateful at worst.
If you counted 2000, this would be the 4th year. Maybe it's the '4th annual fistgate'. LOL
