Hollywood Heroes Petition

Support President Bush, Our Troops, Hollywood Heroes!!

We, the undersigned, do hereby declare our allegiance to our country, our troops, our flag and our president.

We reject the premise that it's all America's fault that there are people in this world who want to destroy us. We reject the premise that this impending war is all about oil. We reject the premise that President Bush and his cabinet are warmongers whose reasoning for going after Saddam Hussein and other terrorists is about revenge, pay back or to pad the pockets of oil companies.

We declare confidence in our leaders. We believe they know more than we do. We believe, that while no one ever proactively wants war, there are times in history, where no other option is viable to deal with evil.

We believe Iraq does pose an immediate threat. Did any of them think Osama bin Laden posed an immediate threat on September 10, 2001? What would they have done if they had known?

We support the families of our military and the soldiers themselves. We want them to know, we as Americans are with them, and we'll do anything we can to help while they're off defending our country and our freedoms.

Finally, we support the few stars in Hollywood who have courageously come out and supported our president against potential backlash from most of Hollywood. These brave souls deserve our praise, our support and our commerce. Remember these brave few when choosing what movie to see or rent, what music to buy, what TV shows to watch.

They then spend those fortunes disparaging our country on foreign soil and staging protests against a Republican administration. Where were they when a democratic president bombed Iraq, Bosnia and Somalia? Is force okay as long as a democrat calls air strikes?

Contrast that with a former U.S. Senator who is now on television playing a district attorney, who is a strict constructionist of the Constitution. He's not about to make money playing a character against his philosophical belief system. He's no hypocrite.

Can you say the same about the rest of them?

have voiced their support for the president.

We hope more will start speaking out in support of President Bush and will remember and support them when they do.
