The left coast peace activists show their true colors.

Just fellow travelers of the 200 or so little pukes who blocked the sidewalk (so no one
else could pass) in front of a Superior Court house in Los Angeles a week or so ago
(I was there doing jury duty).

Or the nice young man holding the "F--K Bush" sign while commmuning with
about 200 other like-minded UCLA students that I saw on the way home last night.
(The sign was NOT sanitized...)

At least some of them got arrested for blocking traffic.

I live right around the corner from there, but I hadn't noticed the sign before last night. I was wondering how they got a fence around it so quickly.

where one can learn to read and riot

Well, they don't learn to read, so I guess that leaves one thing...('cause they don't learn 'rithmetic, either).

Butthese kids don't get it on their own. Their idiot teachers were behind this.

Too bad these spoiled children didn't have to grow up like the store owner - they might actually come to love this country.

Funny how you never hear about a bunch of "Conservative Protestors" doing such things..

Just more "right wing" media bias I guess..

Time for LA tidbits and trivia: (1) Canoga Park high was used for the filming of 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and (2) Canoga Park spelled backwards is Krap Agonac. Years ago it was middle-class white area living in the shadow of nicer parts of the SFV like Woodland Hills. Now it's just an illegal alien ghetto.

So true. I've seen few people with a stronger love for this country than an Iranian immigrant friend of mine. The one house on his street with an American flag out (and he has several out), is his.

What do you expect when teachers and musicians are telling the kids that capitalism is bad?

Get it from the greedy store owner (haves and have nots).

Anarchist-socialism in action. This is not a peace movement.

Administration sanctioned "class cutting" does nothing to prove a political position.

I worked across the street from Canoga Park High in the '70s. Even then, you couldn't park your car in the mall parking lot across from the school, and leave a quarter on the dashboard, and still have it there when you returned to your car. You'd see the high school kids brazenly going from car to car, trying to break in. I see things haven't improved any since then.

Negative. This is just a bunch of kids ditching school using the anti-war statement as an excuse. In this light they may reflect something an old acquaintance told me. "I wasn't ever really against the Vietnam war. The protests were a great place to get drugs, get laid and party all the time".

I've seen the other side of that coin too where a band would hook up an outdoor concert and then some peacenik/politically correct types would co-opt the stage to be their rally.

Pete Townsend didn't go for it when Abie Hoffman tried to take to the stage during the Who performance at Woodstock. Pete hit him with his guitar and kicked him off the stage. I haven't found anyone with that footage yet but reportedly I may get to see some old video of the show just after that.

I've read other west coast accounts of this hijacking of "peaceful"(apolitical) concerts by pinkos in the 1960s.

Even the MC5 weren't a political band until their White Panther manager tried pushing them that way.

}The school is 60% mexican,30% black and 10% the rest.

That's a far cry from the Canoga Park and Thousand Oaks of 1960. Was a really nice area then.

There was a TV report on this fiasco...Two students were interviewed...They didn't like what happened...They thought that it diverted from their peace message.
The principal was seen apologizing to the owner...The owner did not sound too bitter...The TV reporter ended the segment by stating that the arrested students will probably be transferred to other schools...

I didn't get the impression that the principal was disturbed at all about students walking out in the first place...He sounded all excited about students expressing their opinion on war. He didn't sound as if he planned to discipline his students who walked out...(Except those who got arrested.)

In the article, the principals of two other schools sounded less excited about the walkout...One even said that those who walked out will be considered as truants.

If the "little rascals" don't get straightened out, they might land in the Pelican Bay SHU someday. They have a specific use for firehoses there - it's called "cell extraction" - the criminals don't like it.
