There was a very famous poster here who would gives clues in riddles -(it's driving me nuts that I can't remember his name)about Clinton's behavior in '98 and '99 - and he often spoke of the "turtle" - who I believe was the guy carrying the codes to the nukes.

I remember him saying at that time that Clinton had lost the "football" meaning the briefcase with the codes - It turns out it was true!

Can anyone else remember this? There were several other things he said that came true - what the hell was his name?

TD - you communicated with him quite frequently - do you recall this? What else came true or did not?

"quidich" or something close to that, wasn't it? It's on the proverbial tongue tip.

I was only a lurker at the time (working in Washington DC); the postings of QUIDAM were highly entertaining.

Associated Press 4/24/99 "...President Clinton departed the NATO summit in such haste Saturday that he left behind perhaps the most important piece of luggage in the world - the ``nuclear football.'' The president's military aide, who constantly shadows Clinton and carries the briefcase containing U.S. nuclear launch codes, was mistakenly left at the International Trade Center when Clinton's motorcade sped off 45 minutes early and without notice. The aide walked the 4 1/2 blocks back to the White House without incident..."

Imagine if Pres. Bush had done this!!!
