Dearest Heavenly Father, bless and protect James from Tennessee.
To: patriciaruth
Thank you
To: All
But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
John 15: 26-27These things I have spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
But these things I have told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto at the beginning, because I was with you.
But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Wither goest thou?
But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; that it is expedient for you that I go away: For if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
John 16: 1-7

Amen and thank you!

Is not this the fast I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seeth the naked, that thou cover him; and that thy hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the L
ORD shall be thy reward. Isaiah 59: 6-8

This is the speech given by Lt. Colonel Tim Collins, commander of the 1st Battalion of The Royal Irish, on the eve of battle in Iraq (courtesy of MadIvan and mrustow).
It is my foremost intention to bring every single one of you out alive, but there may be people among us
who will not see the end of this campaign.
We will put them in their sleeping bags and send them back. There will be no time for sorrow.
The enemy should be in no doubt that we are his Nemesis, and that we are bringing about his rightful
destruction. There are many regional commanders who have stains on their souls, and they are stoking
the fires of Hell for Saddam.
He and his forces will be destroyed by this coalition for what they have done. As they die, they will
know their deeds have brought them to this place. Show them no pity.
We go to liberate, not to conquer. We will not fly our flags in their country. We are entering Iraq to free
a people, and the only flag that will be flown in that ancient land is their own. Show respect for them.
There are some who are alive at this moment who will not be alive shortly. Those who do not wish to go
on that journey, we will not send.
As for the others, I expect you to rock their world. Wipe them out, if that is what they choose. But if you
are ferocious in battle, remember to be magnanimous in victory.
It is a big step to take another human life. It is not to be done lightly.
I know of men who have taken life needlessly in other conflicts. I can assure you, they live with the
mark of Caine upon them. If someone surrenders to you, then remember they have that right in
international law, and ensure that one day they go home to their family. The ones who wish to fight, well,
we aim to please.
If you harm the regiment or its history by over-enthusiasm in killing or in cowardice, know it is your
family who will suffer. You will be shunned unless your conduct is of the highest, for your deeds will
follow you down through history. We will bring shame on neither our uniform nor our nation.
It is not a question of if [we will face chemical weapons], its a question of when. We know he has
already devolved the decision to his lower commanders, and that means he has already taken the
decision himself. If we survive the first strike we will survive the attack.
Iraq is steeped in history. It is the site of the Garden of Eden, of the Great Flood and the birthplace of
Abraham. Tread lightly there. You will see things that no man could pay to see and you will have to go a
long way to find a more decent, generous, and upright people than the Iraqis. You will be embarrassed by their hospitality, even though they have nothing.
Dont treat them as refugees for they are in their own country. Their children will be poor, in years to
come they will know that the light of liberation in their lives was brought by you. If there are casualties of
war, then remember that when they woke up and got dressed in the morning, they did not plan to die this
day. Allow them dignity in death. Bury them properly and mark their graves.
"As for ourselves, lets bring everyone home, and leave Iraq a better place for us having been there. Our
business now is north.

May God listen to our prayers.
To: All
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Revelations 3: 20Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
John 15: 12
To: Victoria Delsoul
He has answered many prayers already. We have only to keep the prayers going.
To: patriciaruth
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
