HOUSTON SUPPORTS OUR TROOPS Friday, March 7, 2003 - 4:00 to 7:00
Join us this Friday at Mecom Fountain, where Montose meets Main, and show your support for our troops. Come any time from 4 o'clock on. Bring your flag! The anti-war (anti-American) gang holds a vigil here every Friday and we have met them before and intend to continue to show our support for our troops and President Bush. Following our rally we will have a hospitality hour to meet and greet our many new members. (venue to be announced) Street parking can be found just to the south of the fountain.

I am tanned, rested, and ready. They might ban us from their TV shows, but not the Freeps. Eagles Up!

any protester with a stick (or rod) were turned awayFrom a Loonie Left protest in Houston Wednesday. We may need to have contingency plans for our flags and banner. HPD has been off and on enforcing this so we need to be prepared.
We can string a rope through the banner. I guess flags could be mounted on something.

They don't see to have a problem with the banner. It is too bulky to swing. In fact, at the protest on 15 Feb, they actually liked it because it also serves as a physical barrier between the two sides.

I guess flags could be mounted on something. I have also seen paper tubes being used for sign holders. A sturdy enough tube could hold a flag, smaller ones for signs.

at the protest on 15 Feb The liaison guy told me they were being soft on the rules that day. A backup plan beats no banner at all.
