One of my best friend's brother was called on Friday to get his stuff together because they were shipping out on Monday. But they didn't ship out. They flew. Why? And I quote: 'There isn't enough time to wait for a ship'.
He left on Monday.
Hello my fellow friends,
The time has come to say a brief farewell as I embark on a new life experience. Being deployed and far away from one's loved ones and friends is very difficult. I am prepared physically, but it is the emotional and psychological aspect of being away from home that is the killer. I do not know how long I will be away or where I will end up. My orders are for one year (maybe less, maybe more) in a hot, humid and sandy environment (can't reveal any more than that at this point). May God be with you all! Take care! (By a Captain we know)
