[history]
Before launching a military strike against Iraq, Americans should consider their own history to remember how powerful the mix of religion and politics can be, U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D., Toledo) said.
"If you think back to our founding as a country, we are a country of revolution," Miss Kaptur said in an interview this week.

This woman is mentally and morally challenged. Someone needs to use this in the next election campaign. I trust that there is a video of her saying this.

The Palies were trying this slant just about the time of the Jennin battle.
Osama unlike our founding fathers targeted innocent men, women and children. Osama would not dare face down an adversary on a battlefield as we did.
He fights for tyranny and Religious oppression
My founders fought for freedom and religious freedom.
Arabs know deep down know that God is not on their side.
Democarts dont understand this so they cannot govern the USA.

I am a practicing Catholic and I have some problems with our Iraq strategy but I have to agree with you on this article if what was said was not taken out of context.
WOW.....
To: Kay Soze
She's an ignorant BITCH.
"I think food and education will help stem the poverty of the young people who are being drawn into terrorism every day," she said.
Maybe this moronic Congresswoman has been missing the news -- most of the people who intensely hate America HAVE BEEN EDUCATED BY AMERICA or IN AMERICA!!!
In addition, if those who are terrorists are so poverty striken, then explain the millions of dollars of resources that they have? Shoot...I wish I was in poverty to the tune of having millions of dollars at my fingertips.
Maybe they should buy books instead of guns then. If they and their countrymen (whatever Arab nationality) can afford millions of AK-47s and nuclear/chemical/biological weapons programs, then they DAMN sure can afford education and food on their own!
Stupid Congresswoman.

"I think food and education will help stem the poverty of the young people who are being drawn into terrorism every day," she said. Wrong, Marcy. Moving these societies away from the Mullahs and the tin-horn dictators and into a free capitalistic world is the only thing that will stem the poverty of the region.
And the Marxist utopia you and the other Congressional Commies of the "Progressive" Caucus envision sure as hell ain't the way to solve their (or anybody else's) problems.
Mainly because that utopia can never exist.

Yeah, wow is right! This the epitomy of seeing only one side of the coin.
"I think that one thing that people of faith understand about the world of Islam is that the kind of insurgency we see occurring in many of these countries is an act of hope that life will be better using Islam as the only reed that they have to lean on."
I guess she missed the part of the koran that instructed it's followers to Kill any and all non-believers. I'm sure it was just an oversight on her part. :-)
Or am I misinformed?

the United States should try to counter the poverty and repression that breed terrorism in the Mideast. What an evil imbecile this creature is. Is she jealous of all the attention that Patty Murray had?
